HSE First Aid at Work

➢ Administer first aid to a casualty in anaphylactic shock.
➢ Recognise the presence of major illness and provide appropriate first aid.
The certification lasts for 3 years and can be re-newed prior to expiry of the current certificate, by attending a 2-day re-qualification course.

Automated External Defibrillation (AED) ½ day
Read moreThe scientific evidence to support early defibrillation is overwhelming, the single most determinant of survival being the delay from collapse to delivery of the first shock. The chances of successful defibrillation decline at a rate of 7-10% with each minute. Basic Life Support may help to sustain a shockable rhythm but is not a definite treatment.

Paediatric First Aid- 1 day

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the delegate, there is no final examination. \Those delegates who complete the course, and are deemed to have reached the required standard, are awarded a certificate that is valid for 3 years.
Cost for the course is £450+vat for up to 12 delegates.
This includes a manual for each delegate.

Basic Life Support with Oxygen Therapy ½ day
